"The thing I enjoy most about being on tour are all the

ABOUT  US

Lawrence Larouche and Cynthia Martin along with their children Nathan and Zadia make up the talented team of MAJINX.  They received formal training in  performing and visual arts at John Abbott College and Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and combined their skills to create a magical production called Vision Impossible.  They spent their first 5 years performing within the corporate market.

In '93 they were hired to work with magician David Copperfield.  During the three week magical adventure across Eastern Canada, they learned what it took to sustain a large-scale production while on the road.  The experience inspired them to expand their own magical production and branch out into  festival and special events.

Audiences received their innovative and colorful approach to the world of illusion with overwhelming enthusiasm and MAJINX went on to become a popular attraction at festivals and celebrations across the country.
In 1999 they competed in the Canadian Championship of Magic and walked away with first prize.

In the summer of 2000 while performing at Paramount Canada's Wonderland, Lawrence and Cynthia decided to incorporate their children into the act.  Audiences became fascinated by the fact that it was a real family on stage performing spectacular illusions.  They were given the title of Canada's First Family of Magic.

The children have continued to tour with the show and have visited many communities across North America.  They switch between home-schooling and regular school throughout the year and often enhance their classroom studies by visiting areas they are learning about.  Both children have strong interests outside of school.  Nathan is interested in computer animation and art and spends a lot of time filming footage for his many films.  Zadia is an avid figure skater and spends as much time training on the ice as she can.  She loves to perform at competitions and has won many medals.

Touring presents many challenges for a family, but in the long run makes many fond and often funny memories.
It's been exciting to watch MAJINX evolve into the perfect 'family' production!

This is one of Zadia and Nathan's favorite illusions
